Don't let the typically soft, upbeat aesthetic of Carmico fool you; from iconic killers to infamous last-girls, horror movies have always been an integral part of my interest and inspiration. Classic, almost-campy slasher flicks of the 90's always brought a lighthearted note to the genre. Fans alike bonded by speculating on what we would do in the slasher victims' shoes. In this line, I wanted to capture the highs and lows of a classic slasher movie, from the carefree beginnings to creeping paranoia, then putting the pieces together then, finally, the big confrontation, ending with the bittersweet relief of being the final girl.
